Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing, downloading, installing, or using LittleWhisper, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the software.

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll note the new effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of LittleWhisper after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2. License Grant

Your one-time purchase of LittleWhisper grants you a perpetual, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the current major version of the software.

You may activate LittleWhisper on up to 3 machines simultaneously. You can deactivate a machine at any time to free up a slot.
Future major versions (e.g., LittleWhisper 2.0) are separate purchases and are not included in your original license.
You may not redistribute, sublicense, rent, lease, or lend the software to others.

3. Payment & Refunds

All payments are processed by LemonSqueezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record. LemonSqueezy handles payment processing, tax collection, and regulatory compliance on our behalf.

If you would like to request a refund, please contact LemonSqueezy directly through your order confirmation email or visit their help center. Refund eligibility is subject to LemonSqueezy's refund policy.

4. Third-Party Services & API Keys

LittleWhisper integrates with third-party AI services for transcription and text editing. Supported providers currently include OpenAI, Deepgram, Groq, Anthropic, Google, and xAI.

You provide your own API keys for these services. You are solely responsible for your usage, costs, and compliance with each provider's terms.
LittleWhisper is not responsible for third-party service availability, pricing changes, data handling practices, or terms of service. We encourage you to review each provider's policies independently.
Your API keys are stored locally on your device in encrypted form (ChaChaPoly, bound to your hardware). They are never sent to any LittleWhisper server — because there are none.

5. Privacy & Data

LittleWhisper is designed with privacy at its core:

All data stays on your Mac. Transcriptions, settings, and API keys are stored locally. There are no LittleWhisper servers or cloud infrastructure.
Audio goes only where you send it. When you use a cloud provider, audio is sent directly from your Mac to that provider for processing. LittleWhisper does not intercept, store, or relay this data through any intermediary.
On-device transcription via whisper.cpp processes audio entirely locally — no network requests are made.
No telemetry, analytics, or tracking of any kind. Period.

6. Intellectual Property

LittleWhisper, its name, logo, and related branding are the property of Super Rad. All rights not expressly granted in these terms are reserved.

You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the software. You may not redistribute, republish, or sublicense the software or any portion of it.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

LittleWhisper is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

We do not guarantee the accuracy of any transcription or AI-edited output.
We do not guarantee compatibility with future versions of macOS, though we will make reasonable efforts to maintain it.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the software.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Super Rad shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of LittleWhisper. This includes, but is not limited to, damages from inaccurate transcriptions, third-party service issues, data loss, or interruption of service.

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid for the software ($19.99).

9. Termination

Your license to use LittleWhisper continues indefinitely as long as you comply with these terms. If you violate any provision, your license is automatically terminated and you must stop using the software.

You may stop using LittleWhisper at any time, for any reason. No refund is owed upon voluntary termination.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
